About

Established in 2005, IDM (2005) Consultants Inc. provides a full spectrum of municipal engineering services focusing on municipal infrastructure design and land development including feasibility studies, planning, design and construction.

Led by a CEO with 45 years of experience in the municipal field, we remain focused on performance, efficiency and client satisfaction. We effectively overcome project issues such as tight and complex scheduling, resource coordination, budget constraints, contract administration, design complications and approval related negotiations.

Services

Errosion & Sedimentation Control (ESC)

Construction activities such as site grading and dewatering are a potential source of sediment loading into storm sewers and water courses. Dust caused by disturbance of exposed, dry subsoils by wind and equipment can also be a significant problem during construction activities. Our project managers, engineers, and construction supervisors are trained and certified to prepare erosion and sediment control reports and provide monitoring services to verify that appropriate ESC methods are implemented during construction.

Stormwater Management

IDM provides stormwater management (SWM) to both public and private sectors.

Subdivision and Site Plan Design

Our design team provides comprehensive design services for large and small subdivisions for both public sector and private sector developers. These development projects include residential, commercial, industrial subdivisions and site plans.

Construction Management

Our Field Supervisors and Inspectors, working under the guidance of experienced project managers and engineers, ensure that contractors supply materials, construct, and install infrastructure in full compliance with approved engineering designs, standards, specifications, and municipal requirements. This thorough oversight enables project managers and engineers to issue Construction Completion and Final Acceptance Certificates, confirming the successful completion of the project and its formal acceptance by the Municipality.

Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Commissioning Services

We provide commissioning services for the new and existing treatment plants.

Building Permit Approvals

We assist in obtaining permits for residential, commercial, industrial, and temporary structures, ensuring compliance with local regulations, streamlining the approval process and providing services for both renovation projects and new builds.

Real Estate Analysis

We provide financial assessments for property developments, including market analysis, risk evaluation, and investment feasibility to support informed decision-making. We also assist in the purchases and sales properties.

Land Use Planning

Topographical Surveying

We provide topographical services for industrial, residential and commercial construction.

Structural Design
